What are the benefits you can get from an e-labor card and where you can get it made
The government launched the e-Shram portal in August this year to provide financial security to unorganized sector workers and give them the same benefits as organized sector workers. The objective of this portal is to collect information on unorganized sector workers in the country and provide them with the benefits of all government schemes. For this, e-labour cards are being given to the workers. By showing that the workers can easily get employment opportunities from the government schemes.
What is E-Labor Card?
E-Labour Card is a special card issued by the government to workers, which proves that the worker is an unorganized sector worker and all his/her documents have been verified on the e-Labour portal. This means that workers no longer have to rush to get benefits. They can achieve this by showing or presenting all the benefits available to the unorganized sector workers.
What are the benefits of an E-Labor Card?
It will be easy for workers with e-Labour Card to get employment anywhere in the country. Having data related to them in the database will give them priority to get the job done. Accident insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh will be provided to the workers registered on the e-labor portal. In case of an accident, death, or total disability of an employee registered on the portal, an amount of Rs 2 lakh will be paid.
On the other hand, if the laborer is partially disabled, then he will get one lakh rupees under this insurance scheme. With the help of this card, Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana, National Pension Scheme for self-employed, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Public Distribution Scheme.

What are the registration process and conditions?
Anyone in the age group of 16 to 59 years working in the unorganized sector can register for this card. Workers can either register themselves through the e-labor portal https://eshram.gov.in/ or register by visiting the Common Service Center (CSC). Registration is completely free. The workers will not have to pay for registration on the portal or Common Service Centre.
what documents will be required?
To register on the portal, workers have to provide information like name, occupation, address, educational qualification, and skill. As soon as you enter the Aadhaar number for enrolment, all the details of the worker from the database will automatically appear on the portal. Aadhaar number, a mobile number linked to Aadhaar for registration on E-Labor Card Portal by workers. Bank Account Requirement If an employee does not have a mobile number linked with Aadhaar, he/she can visit the nearest CSC and register through biometric verification.
