Ans. In the 21st century, a new development emerged for democratic systems and democratization in West Asian countries. One such phenomenon is known as Arab Spring. Which started in 2009! The Arab Spring which started in Tunisia took its roots where the struggle against corruption, unemployment, and poverty was started by the people. (Class 12)
This struggle turned into a political movement, as the public perceived the immediate problems as the result of an autocratic dictatorship. The demand for democracy that emerged in Tunisia spread to the Muslim-majority Arab countries of West Asia!
